STUTTGART — The Stuttgart City Council will meet with only one item on the agenda Tuesday — to discuss a resolution for a new hangar at the Stuttgart Municipal Airport. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Stuttgart City Hall, located at 304 S. Maple St. Meetings are open to the public.
The resolution explains that the city will be applying for a grant through the Delta Regional Authority for the fiscal year 2013 federal grant program cycle. It does not explain the amount or if the grant will be matching funds or complete funding.
“The resolution is just so that we can apply,” Stuttgart City Clerk Mitri Greenhill said. “If there was an amount it would be in there.”

Greenhill said the city will also be looking to other sources.

The new hanger will be for larger jets to be parked at the airport.
