TDOT Awards $12.2 Million in Aeronautics Grants

  • The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced on Wednesday that 13 Tennessee airports will be receiving federal and state aeronautics grants totaling $12.2 million. One of the airports is in nearby Maury County.

    The funds will be used to assist in the location, design, construction and maintenance of Tennessee’s diverse public aviation system.

    The other airports besides Maury County receiving grants are as follows: Centerville Municipal Airport, DeWitt Spain General Aviation Airport, Chattanooga Lovell Field, Savannah-Hardin County Airport, Cleveland Municipal Airport, Smithville Municipal Airport, Shelbyville Municipal Airport, Covington Municipal Airport and Tri-Cities Regional Airport.
