The Miami-Dade Aviation Department announced that it once again has received the annual Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada.
The department said it earned the award by meeting nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation designed to assess how well a budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operational guide and a communications device. Budget documents must be rated “proficient” in all four categories and the 14 mandatory criteria within those categories to receive the award.
