  • Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) — The Jamestown Regional Airport recently set boarding records.

It’s seen a huge boost in business since 2007, when there were close to 25 hundred-boardings per year. Now, that number is more than 55 hundred. Airport staff says they’re keeping up with demand. The more people boarding, the more flights they’re bringing in.

Matthew Leitner with the Jamestown Regional Airport says, “People from the periphery, that is to say Valley City, Carrington, and so forth have been utilizing the airport. They understand the ammenities we have to offer, I think they are really impressed with the service, and it’s helped us out exponentially.”

In December alone, almost 800 people flew from the Jamestown Regional Airport.
