  • ANGEL FLIGHT EAST and FLY ADVANCED PRESENT
23rd ANNUAL WINGS N’ WHEELS SHOW AND FAMILY FAIR

    SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2013 – 11:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M.

BLUE BELL, PA—Thousands are expected to gather at historic Wings Field (KLOM) for the 23rd annual Wings N’ Wheels show. This event features fun for the whole family! Come see displays of vintage and military aircraft, experimental and light sport planes, as well as classic, antique and muscle cars–all competing for a People’s Choice Award!

The event raises awareness of Angel Flight East (AFE), a volunteer pilot organization, which has been facilitating free air transportation for critically ill children and adults needing medical treatment far from home, and other humanitarian needs since 1992. All proceeds from the event benefit the organization. “Angel Flight East relies on the generosity of our donors and our community of volunteers and supporters, and Wings N’ Wheels is no exception,” said AFE Board President Adam Zucker.

Highlights of the day will include:

    • Sightseeing plane rides–see Montgomery County from 2,000 feet up!
    • The Franklin Institute’s traveling science show, Flight. Explore the exciting history of flight using mechanical birds, hot air balloons, gliders and a rocket launch.
    • Inflatable games, rock wall, crafts and face-painting for the kids.
    • The popular “Wing-Off”, a wing-tasting competition of hot wings from local restaurants, judged by elite Angel Flight East volunteer pilots!
    • Musical entertainment by the Fredos.
