The FAA has released a new comprehensive study on the value of general aviation airports across the country. General AviationAirports: A National Asset was published this month, recognizing the importance of this country’s 2,952 public general aviation airports. This 18-month report documents the function of local airports across the country, focusing particularly on their role in connecting communities, providing business opportunity and ensuring public safety and natural disaster preparedness.
