  • The FAA has released a new comprehensive study on the value of general aviation airports across the country. General AviationAirports: A National Asset was published this month, recognizing the importance of this country’s 2,952 public general aviation airports. This 18-month report documents the function of local airports across the country, focusing particularly on their role in connecting communities, providing business opportunity and ensuring public safety and natural disaster preparedness.

The Alliance assisted the FAA by contributing information about some of our member airports, which can be found in the report.
