  • During the Granite State Airport Management Association’s (GSAMA) “At The Capitol” event in Concord, NH, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch signed a proclamation recognizing March as “General Aviation Appreciation Month” for the state. The proclamation and the recognition was made possible by the dedicated work of the Granite State Airport Management Association, who, founded over 20 years ago, work closely with the NHDOT/Bureau of Aeronautics and the Federal Aviation Administration in promoting the 24 public-use airports throughout New Hampshire. General aviation alone drives over $639 million in economic activity and supports over 8,000 jobs across the state, due to these vital airports that connect small towns across New Hampshire to businesses, farms, medical care, search-and-rescue services, and disaster relief. Without these critical airports, many communities would not get the goods and services they need quickly and efficiently. Read the full proclamation signed by Governor Lynch here.
