The House Ways and Means Committee on a unanimous vote Wednesday approved a bill to reauthorize the Airport and Airway Trust Fund through the end of fiscal year 2014. Lawmakers are expected to add the legislation to a multi-year FAA reauthorization bill that the House may consider later this month.

H.R. 1034, the Airport and Airway Trust Fund Financing Reauthorization Act of 2011, would extend aviation trust fund taxes and expenditure authority through September 30, 2014, the same duration as H.R. 658, the FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2011. Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) introduced the legislation late last week.
