  • INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More than 100 jobs are on their way to Indianapolis due to a joint venture between Rolls Royce and the Goodrich Corporation, Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard announced Thursday.

The new venture will bring 159 jobs to Aero Engine Controls by 2013.

“New investment from a fast-growing, international firm like Aero Engine Controls is further evidence that Indiana can compete and win over locations across the globe,” said Skillman.

“Today Indiana’s robust defense and engineering sector receives another boost of high-tech jobs and that is great news for our economy.”

AEC designs engine controls for a variety of aircraft ranging from helicopters to commercial aircraft.

Aero Engine Controls moved its engineering center to the Indianapolis International Airport 15-months ago.
