Elementary school to focus on aviation

  • Today the Minneapolis-St. Paul Tribune reported on an elementary school that will be devoted to aviation. Starting this fall, the new Blaine elementary school program will set out to stimulate interest in science and engineering, in particular focusing on aviation and space flight.

    The University Avenue Elementary School, within the Anoka-Hennepin district, will rely on partnerships with various institutions, which will provide speakeers and mentors, and internet conferences and demonstrations. Opening this upcoming fall, the University Avenue Speciality School for Aviation, Children’s Engineering and Science will provide the district a unique themed school that is sure to excite students.
