  • Praises Senate Commerce Committee Version Of FAA Reauthorization Bill

The Senate Commerce Committee Tuesday introduced a bill to reauthorize the FAA, and in response, the Alliance for Aviation Across America released the following statement:

“We commend the Senate Commerce Committee for introducing a comprehensive FAA Reauthorization bill that will provide the necessary funding for modernization of our air traffic control system. We look forward to now working with the Senate to pass this legislation, which provides the necessary funding for the Next Generation Air Traffic Control System, while protecting the small towns and rural communities that rely on general aviation. This vital industry supports 1.2 million jobs nationally and provides billions in economic impact for communities in all 50 states, including over 5000 rural communities that depend on this important form of transportation.”

The Alliance for Aviation Across America (AAAA) is a diverse coalition of over 4,300 aviation enthusiasts and professionals, local airports, civic organizations representing rural and agriculture voices, city, county and state officials, economic development entities, non-profit organizations, small and mid-size businesses and others dedicated to protecting small and rural communities.
